Ansu Farm is a centuries-old farm complex which reflects the traditional farm architecture of Saaremaa. Ansu is constructed in a rural style featuring thatched roofs and stone fences. It has been in our family ever since our ancestors began farming hundreds of years ago after the North War.

 

The farm has been passed down from generation to generation. We are extremely proud of that heritage. It's fascinating to carry forward and learn about our ancestors' lifestyle and traditions from many centuries ago and offer that experience to our guest.

 

Even today it is exciting to reenact some of the duties from our ancestors daily life. Activities such as baking bread, weaving rugs, cutting reeds in winter and building roofs of that material give the opportunity to experience how people used to live.  

 

You can wonder on hectares of property which demonstrate the unique natural features of this area. You can enjoy silence and wilderness and wonder without encountering a single soul. 

 

Near to Ansu is an old and boggy Järveküla lake where in springtime you can enjoy a lovely boat trip.
